Eliminate Pro

It’s been a while since my last review. From juggling a full time job, a new breed of young gamers (my sons) and brooding over how to take on this app review lifestyle. Too many games, and such little time to play them all. Then it came to me. Like the sacred ring, there is currently one game to rule them all. My silence has ended.

Enter Eliminate Pro [App Store]

You are an employee of mega conglomerate Arsenal Megacorp – weapons manufacturer. Their secret: The weapons they produce have all been tested on live subjects. As an employee, it is your duty to “compete” in 4-player death matches and from the opening sequence, you are thrown into Arsenal Megacorp’s world of propaganda.

Ranch Rush [App Store]

It takes a somewhat special game to keep me intrigued and not annoy me to the point where I throw my phone against a wall and storm off in a huff. Sniper Vs Sniper: Online [App Store]

Korean Dev team Com2Us bring to us another multiplayer hit with Sniper Vs Sniper: Online. Following from the success of Homerun Battle 3D, this is their latest offering that takes a different but familiar approach. Let’s cut the b#llsh@t and get on with the action!

Sniper Vs Sniper: Online pits you as a lone gunman, having to take out your targets before they take you out. Scout out enemies with your binoculars, then switching to a sniper rifle, aiming with the accelerometer. Bear in mind, the binoculars give you a wider view than the weapon of choice. Though short, the 6 campaign missions are very enjoyable. Putting you deep in the action, you need to scan different buildings, taking out as many primary targets as possible before you get some hot lead love yourself. I guess in a way, this game is basically hide and seek… just with more killing than your average game.

Tap-Fu

Tap-Fu [App Store]

Daniel: Hey – you ever get into fights when you were a kid?
Miyagi: Huh – plenty.
Daniel: Yeah, but it wasn’t like the problem I have, right?
Miyagi: Why? Fighting fighting. Same same.

With the App Store inundated with quick casual games, it’s a bit of a surprise that Tap-Fu mixes it up with both an instant K.O. and a prolonged side scrolling fight session. While definitely not one of the biggest games out there, Tap Fu holds its own on varied gameplay modes and combat moves that any dojo will attest to.
