Defender chronicles [App Store] is easily my favorite game on the iPhone. Google Analytics tells me that it’s yours too! And for good reason. A lot of iPhone games are released and then forgotten about so the developers can move on to other projects and have an ongoing income. The trouble is that a lot of these projects get stagnant and forgotten about, oftentimes marred with bugs that will never get fixed.
The folks over at Menara Games have a different way of thinking. Constant updates, care and attention to detail mean that Defender Chronicles remains fresh with every update. New maps, items, tweaks, characters, boss mobs, etc can be found in their latest release of version 1.4!

Defender Chronicles [App Store]
There seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel for troubled (but wonderful) Defender Chronicles. Amid all the hoo-haa relating to serious crashes and ineffectual updates, comes update 1.3.2 titled “The Flaim Order” – a resoundingly massive update to the incredibly popular Tower Defense title.
Included in 1.3.2 update:
Defender Chronicles is by no means one of the cheaper games on the App Store, but with the amount of gameplay available, it’s easy to justify the price. This update only adds to that with FOUR NEW DIFFICULTY LEVELS??!

It seems there’s no shortage of contenders for the iPhone Social Gaming Networking crown. News has surfaced that Crystal, the Social Network brought to us by Chillingo is nearing launch. With Chillingo being one of the biggest App Store Publishers around, it will be very interesting to see how events will play out.
The iPhone Social Gaming Network *breathe* scene is still quite an open market with no single player edging above others. Competition can only mean improved services from everyone!
We will bring you the latest news on Crystal and once launched, we will hopefully have some website integration for Crystal users!

Defender Chronicles [App Store]
It seems that the trouble hasn’t ended for Chillingo’s best selling Tower Defense game. A recent update, 1.3.1, was released in order to fix, amongst other things, a major crash bug. While it seems that the crash bug has been remedied, the update has also introduced more bugs. Users are complaining that since update 1.3.1, they are no longer able to play Legendary Difficulty or access the new map Helegom.
The good news: Update 1.3.2 should be submitted today (Monday 19 Oct), so expect this to be released within a few weeks.
